Noted art history lecturer Ann Wiklund will present a talk on the history of women in photography to accompany our exhibition, “Intangible: The Art of Nicole Katano.”

Ann Wiklund studied art history at the University of Kansas and taught there and at the University of Missouri and the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City for many years.  She was department chair at Johnson County Community College in Kansas City, where she was honored as the outstanding professor at the college in 2002.  Now retired and living in Sonoma, Ann has been a regular lecturer at the Sonoma Valley Museum of Art.  She specializes in the history of 20th century and contemporary art and uses her vast library of images to delight and inform her audiences.
