Join us at Marin Art and Garden Center for Designing With Flowers From Your Garden, a hands-on workshop led by Alethea Harampolis, co-author of the best-selling books, The Flower Recipe Book and The Wreath Recipe Book, as well as the recently released Harvest: Unexpected Projects Using 47 Extraordinary Garden Plants.
Alethea Harampolis is known for her dynamic work with flowers from Studio Choo in San Francisco. She brings her eye for color, form, and balance to a workshop incorporating elements of the backyard garden into sophisticated arrangements.
This workshop is a garden-to-table lesson suitable for all levels. We will learn the importance of identifying flowers, ornamentals, and edibles from the garden perfect for arranging. Participants will use a mix of cuttings from the MAGC landscape and seasonal blooms from the flower market to create their own masterpiece to take away.
The cost of the class includes a lecture, a walk through the gardens, a floral arrangement demonstration, one-on-one assistance from Alethea, a vase, and flowers for the floral arrangement that you will create and take home.
