One of the pleasures of spring at MAGC is walking near the Rose Garden and inhaling the fragrance of the blooms as you pass. The gardens here really do offer a treat for every sense, including smell, and so we are aligning our policy with the general trend towards smoke-free environments. Smoking is prohibited by California law in or near workplaces and schools, and we now ask that you refrain from smoking anywhere on the grounds here, to give everyone (and everything) room to breathe. The environmental impact of smoking is not just about air quality: cigarette butts are not biodegradable, and contain toxic chemicals that persist in the soil and water. Help us keep MAGC smelling sweet and looking sharp, and please don’t smoke here.
