The Bay Area Discovery Museum’s Discovery Camps are returning to the Marin Art & Garden Center for Summer 2018!

These camps are open to children entering kindergarten through third grade, and provide child-directed and inquiry driven learning through project-based, hands-on activities that boost creativity, STEM skills and critical thinking. As part of the high-quality Discovery Camp programming, led by Bay Area Discovery Museum Educators,  children will have the opportunity to explore our beautiful 11-acre site, which includes a Habitat Garden, Edible Garden, and Butterfly Cottage.

Camps run on the MAGC grounds from 9 am to 1 pm, starting the week of June 11 and running through August 17. Two different camps will be offered this summer:

Junior Naturalists

Children become naturalists through an exploration of the plant and animal life at MAGC. Campers practice the scientific inquiry process through activities like developing a field guide, scientific illustration, bird watching, and more!

Art of Nature

Inspired by their surroundings at MAGC, campers create artwork that reflects and responds to the natural world. They will go on hikes and beach visits where they will engage in projects like mud painting, poetry, plein air sketching, and more.

A full schedule of camps, and the opportunity to register, can be found on the BADM website.
