The MAGC Board of Trustees recently welcomed two new members.
Melissa Harris grew up on the coast of Maine and is a graduate of the Temple Ambler School of Horticulture and UMaine. She relocated to the Bay Area ten years ago, and her first garden on the West Coast was the Historic Gardens of Alcatraz, where she continues to volunteer. She has been restoring the gardens of her home in Ross, and first discovered MAGC while trying to find a place to walk her water-averse pug in the rain. Welcome, Melissa.
Pamela Scott remembers going to Pixie Park as a child and bringing her own children there decades later. She has been a member of the Kentfield Planning Advisory Board since 2004 and has been a Marin Master Gardener since 2000. In addition to having served on the MAGC Board previously, Pamela has served as the president of the Marin Master Gardeners, Marin Garden Club, and the Branson School Parents’ Association. We’re delighted to have Pamela back on the Board.
We mourn the loss of our Board member and friend, Bill Buckingham, who passed away in August. Our thoughts are with his family.
